Cost-Share Program 2026

Manitoba Organics  is offering a cost-share funding program that supports on-farm projects to improve soil health and biodiversity.  We are thrilled to receive continued funding from the Conservation Trust (Manitoba Habitat Conservancy) to improve soil health and biodiversity on Manitoba farms. A portion of the funding received is for a cost-share program, which will help farmers identify ways to enhance biodiversity and soil stewardship on their farms and supports the costs of implementing these plans. Find out how this program is supporting farmers in the province.

DEADLINE: JUNE 30TH, 2026

(Updated!) Cost-shared activities covered by this program include, but are not limited to:

  • Fencing and watering systems for livestock integration including infrastructure for Custom Grazing Partnerships

  • Perennial crops for grazing, seed production, and/or green manure (this includes the rent or purchase of pollinator services/equipment)

  • Multi-species cover crops established for grazing, seed, eco-buffer or green manure

Please note that single-species cover crops (outside of perennials) are not eligible for funding this year.

Program Eligibility
This program is open to any farmers who farm in the Province of Manitoba and are interested in improving the quality of their soils and enhancing biodiversity on their farms.
